For their dedication and outstanding creativity, the Yearbook Program of Arizona College Prep High School achieved the Jostens 2023 National Yearbook Program of Excellence award at the Gold Level in August 2023. Jostens is the foremost manufacturer of yearbooks and student-created content. The National Yearbook Program of Excellence honors compelling yearbooks that portray a diverse student body while supporting students in cultivating capabilities such as collaboration, communication skills, and a sense of unique creative thinking. Not only is this an achievement for the Yearbook Program of the 2022-2023 school year, but it is also an achievement for our school as a whole.

This national recognition was made possible thanks in large part to Mrs. Patterson, ACP’s yearbook advisor. It would not have been possible without her astonishing assistance and support in creating a fantastic yearbook. She remarks on the yearbook program from the previous year: “It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the team leader for the ACP High School Yearbook. These students are dedicated workers who all bring their unique talents to class to create a book that represents our study body and school culture. I am very proud of their many accomplishments, and this award is a testament to their dedication to excellence” as written in the Jostens News Release. Mrs. Patterson helps students develop lifelong skills and ways to be who they are or want to be. Her enthusiasm, combined with the dedication of the Yearbook Program students, creates an inspiring and admired team.

Skylar Baldwin, Luca Cerasoli, Alannah Cuendet, Serena Das, Noah Deogracias, Jillian Douglas, Lauren Fernandez, Christopher Ferreira, Evie Henry, Rush Henry, Sydnee Myers, Braydon Peterson, Yumnaa Rajput, Caitlin Soelberg, Journie Turner, Avery Valenzuela, and Griffen Wirth lead the Yearbook Program under the direction of Mrs. Patterson. The blend of the unique minds of all the students in the program contributed to the creativity and hard work put into the award-winning yearbook. This significant award recognizes the team’s dedication and ability to go above and beyond. “Jostens is proud to recognize those individuals who have created an exceptional yearbook for their school and community. These schools did an exceptional job on multiple levels, despite the challenges presented by this school year. Yearbooks are a critical part of capturing and telling a school’s story, and Jostens is dedicated to supporting yearbook staff members as they do their important work.” stated Tammy Whitaker, Jostens VP and COO Yearbook Division, in the Jostens New Release.

The Yearbook Program’s award will live on in the minds of many students for many academic years to come. It was well-deserved recognition for their unwavering commitment to making the yearbook the best it could be. Go Knights!
