ACP’s Fall Events

ACPs+Fall+Events

As we pass our midpoint of quarter one, we have barely scratched the surface of the fun to be had this year! We here at the ACP Knight Times wanted to give all of you dear readers a bit of information about all of these amazing events.

Last year’s Homecoming theme: Monster Mash

The first one is a classic in all high schools, Homecoming week. Typically, Homecoming week involves a spirit week where students get to dress up in thematic clothes or in standard Friday attire, that being jeans and college shirts. The spirit week follows the theme of Homecoming, meaning that our week will either be about 007 (Spy and James Bond), Around the World (Mixing multiple cultural traditions), or Carnival (Brazilian Culture focused). No matter what our school votes on, I’m sure each and every student will show their school spirit in many creative ways.

Following the spirit week comes the Homecoming game: Arizona College Prep Knights versus the Moon Valley Rockets. Rumors speak of our founder, Mr. Bickes, creating this school with one intention, to crush the rockets. Now, while I can’t validate that rumor and Bickes has neither confirmed nor denied this, I’m sure he feels strongly that we want our team to defeat Moon Valley and bring home a win for our school. The game will be on Friday, September 30th, and we will add more information as we get it. But, if you can’t make it to the game, there’s no need to worry because our website has all of the upcoming games our numerous teams are competing in and the scores of the most recent games.

Now all of these events centered around school spirit have to culminate into something incredible. The Homecoming dance. This is a magical night where students get together for a night of dance, music, and food-a staple in the high school experience. Our news site has numerous articles about Homecomings of the past and upcoming Homecoming events. We hope you are all excited for the rest of the school year and the many other events we have planned for all of you. Go Knights!
