The Upcoming AP Exams

As the end of the school year quickly approaches (only 95 more days to go!), so do final exams and tests. Specifically, AP Exams are coming up over the span of two weeks – the weeks of May 6th and May 13th. AP Exams, or Advanced Placement Exams, give you academic skills you need for college/university and allow you to learn more about subjects and courses you are interested in. In addition to that, AP classes and tests help prepare students for college rigor and can be used as a class credit at a cheaper rate.

If you take an AP course and score successfully, you can save on college tuition, study abroad, and select a second major. You might be thinking something along the lines of “how is this possible?”. Well, its simple: many colleges and universities offer college credit, advancement placement, or both, just for qualifying on AP exams.

Currently, there are more than 30 AP courses available to any willing student. These courses connect to real life professions and careers and will help students advance past the average level in college; basically, its a head start. Not only does it prepare students for the real world and their dream profession, but it looks great on college applications; taking AP classes signifies that you’ve taken some of the most meticulous and punctilious courses your high school has had to offer.
