Pep assemblies are a great way to show off school spirit and build closer bonds with your peers. They serve many purposes among all schools in the U.S., and ACP uses them to help make it the virtuous school that it is. On Friday, September first, 2023, ACP held its second assembly of the school year. It was filled with music, introductions from each fall sport, a surprising and fun-filled dance from our very own Mr. Bickes, and entertaining games from our wonderful student council, such as tug-of-war.
Moving onto the fall sports, these include: Girls and Boys Golf, Girls Flag Football, Boys Football, Chess, Badminton, and Girls Volleyball. We also had an amazing performance from our Pom and Cheer team.
Among the class of 2027, I got an opportunity to interview Ashley Tran to see her thoughts and opinions on the spectacular assembly. She explained, “When the assembly took place, I felt refreshed and rejuvenated as I was able to interact with my friends and have an enjoyable time. My favorite part that I found to be most thrilling at last week’s assembly was when Mr. Bickes showed up and surprised all the students with the inflatable ballerina suit. It got all the students riled up and laughing, which was a phenomenal way to start off the assembly. This assembly helped promote participation and Knight spirit.”
Ashley worded this in a fantastic way; all Knights cannot wait to see what will come in future and hopefully soon, assemblies. Assemblies bring the entire school together in a positive way, and planning and preparing these events for ACP Knights isn’t easy, but our Student Council and Staff put a lot of effort, hard work, and dedication into giving us a lifetime memory of a remarkable assembly. Go Knights!
