New Teacher Interview: Mr. Moore

New Teacher Interview: Mr. Moore

Since our school has grown, not only have we gained many students, but also many teachers as well. From the science department to language teachers, it is important that we celebrate their arrival and welcome them to the Knight family. Today we’ll be talking with Mr. Moore, one of our newest additions to the history department at ACP High School.

When I talked to Mr. Moore, he had wonderful comments to share about his new ACP family. He feels that even though it was a challenge to get used to the new campus, staff, and students, after getting to know everyone he was able to fit right in and find joy in teaching the subject that he loves. When asked about why he loves teaching world history he says he enjoys, “helping kids learn about the past and how it connects to the modern world.” During his free time outside of school, Mr. Moore loves all sports, spending time with his family, watching movies and Seinfeld reruns, and reading. Born and raised in Wyoming, Mr. Moore loves living in Arizona, except when it gets really hot. Before teaching history here at ACP, he worked at Casteel High School as a 7th grade social studies teacher and PE teacher, and also at Weinberg Elementary as a PE teacher.

With our school growing each year, we hope to continue to bring in many more amazing new teachers to ACP just like Mr. Moore! Go Knights!
