The Chandler Police department has an incredible amount of programs for everybody of all ages. Coming up this spring break there are many youth programs that the Chandler Department is encouraging parents to sign their kids up for. These programs provide a great opportunity for kids to learn new things, make new friends and branch out more, and learn a new skill that will help them in the future. The main goal of the Chandler Police Department is to foster relationships that will help close the gaps between law enforcement and youth while also helping kids find their potential career paths.

The academy is a one-week program for youth from ages 12 to 17 so there are many options for your kids. The program will help kids learn about the different jobs and functions that contribute to the Chandler Police Department. The officers from the traffic unit, patrol division, bike team, K-9, community resources, and training section will be teaching the students that enter the police program. This program will provide an opportunity for kids who want to pursue a career in the Police field or just want to learn more about it.

In this program, students can get involved with hands-on activities, helping them learn valuable lessons, gain knowledge that will help in the future, and get insight into many different police procedures like the use of force, forensics, crime science investigation, and so much more. This program can also help kids to find the career path that they want to pursue later in their life. This Youth Academy program was designed to provide awareness and help people to understand the role that law enforcement plays in everyday life.

Also, this program will help kids connect with other ones with the same interests and to make connections that last. The Academy is completely free and lunch is also provided to kids.
