As most people know our second dance of the school year is coming up very soon, Winter Formal! Winter Formal will be a wonderful dance filled with fun, good company, snacks, and, lots of dancing. The theme is winter fairytale and is definitely going to look so spectacular. Personally, I am very excited about this school dance because I love anything relating to wintertime. Winter Formal is going to be so fun and I hope you all can make it!

The winter formal dance will be on Saturday, December 4 from 7:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. It is 10 dollars if you have an activity card and 20 dollars if you don’t. You can purchase tickets through GOFAN and input your student ID into PROMO CODE. If you are having trouble finding how to purchase them ask a teacher or go to the ACPHSKNIGHTS Instagram and there is a link. The Winter Formal dance has been a tradition at our school for a while and it will be a night to remember.

Some interesting backstory on Winter Formal is that a girl named Hannah Kate Schlegel who was 17 at the time, came up with an idea to keep the school spirit alive and bring people together with a school dance. As her senior project, she had the brilliant idea of bringing back her high school’s “Snow Ball” and later on the name changed to Winter Formal. Another interesting fact is the Winter Formal dance has had many names like Winterfest, Winter ball, Sweethearts, Christmas ball, Snowball, and, Queen of Hearts dance. It is so bizarre to think that one day a 17-year-old girl had the idea of a dance in winter and now here we are getting ready for ours. You can read more about this here.

The Winter Formal is going to be so incredible, and it will be a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, catch up with friends, and just overall have a fabulous time. These dances at our school really have a way of bringing people together and making us have so much fun. I assure you that this year’s Winter Formal will be a night to remember!
