As the months pass by here in Arizona, the heat and humidity of our state becomes more apparent, especially when quite a few of us are starting to leave our houses to go to work, school, or any other outside activities. Sometimes, a nice, cool, sweet treat on our parched tongues is all we need to gain the energy we need

to do our daily pastimes, like shaved ice! On Wednesday, August 11, 2021 our campus will be holding a Kona Ice fundraiser after school near the student parking lot to help support our athletic programs! Kona Ice is a mobile shaved ice company founded by Tony Lamb, CEO of Kona Ice, about 14 years ago in 2007. It’s named one of the fastest growing franchises in the United States with a penguin mascot named Kona. Even during monsoon season, things can feel heated and humid here in Arizona, and therefore, eating something refreshing and cool will help soothe the body. So be sure to come out today, support your athletic teams, and enjoy a frosty dessert with your peers!
