Help Grant a Wish at the Winter Wishes Dance
With finals two weeks away from today, ACP’s winter dance, formally known as the Winter Wishes Dance, is also quickly approaching. The dance is being held this Saturday, December 8th, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, in ACP Erie’s gym. Tickets are on sale in the bookstore for $15.00 without an activity card, and free with an activity card. If you don’t have time to stop by the bookstore before Saturday, don’t worry! Tickets will be sold at the door for $20.00. Students are encouraged to attend the dance, as all proceeds are going to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization that grants “wishes” to children who are terminally ill or have life-threatening medical conditions. Founded 38 years ago in Phoenix, Make-A-Wish granted it’s first wish to a little boy with leukemia, who wished to be a police officer. To find out more about this amazing organization, check out our article on the Make-A-Wish Foundation being posted later this week.
The dance is expected to be full of laughter and music and will for sure be a night to remember! Attending this year’s Winter Wishes Dance is not only for your own benefit, but for the benefit of an ill child. Please come for a night of fun, Knights!
