Last weekend boys and girls soccer came to a conclusion with their state tournament championships. Both teams had an amazing season and displayed astonishing sportsmanship on the field.

Girls soccer finished the season with a personal best of 10-3 record, outscoring opponents 54-8. They also obtained 4th seed in the state tournament. The girls fought incredibly hard, but unfortunately lost 1-0 in the first round of playoffs to Yuma Catholic while playing in overtime. Our lady Knights battled on the Chandler High field against the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks and effectively showed their teamwork and positive attitude throughout the game.

Boys soccer, on the other hand, successfully reached the state tournament quarterfinals before losing to 1-0 to Veritas Prep. The boys fought just as diligently as the girls to get into the tournament, winding up to a victorious win against BASIS Phoenix in a play-in game. They then carried on through the tournament, defeating Northwest Christian in the first round of the championship. The boys soccer team in comparison is a very young team and have made ACP incredibly proud with their vigor and effort this past season.

Congrats to both teams on such magnificent seasons. We can’t wait to watch you dominate the field next year! Good job, Knights!
