Only a few weeks into Spring Sports, ACP has been unstoppable earning countless wins with their plays. Despite their tough and rigorous schedule, ACP continued to pull through, so let us see how they did last week:

JV and Varsity Girls Soccer

Starting on Monday, January 27, JV Girls unfortunately lost to Perry High School with a score of 3-1. They came back that Friday with full force and defeated ALA-Gilbert North, beating them 3-0. On Wednesday, January 29, Varsity Girls destroyed Chandler Preparatory Academy with a whopping score of 8-0. With the tenacious winning mindset, they won again against ALA-Gilbert North, 3-2, the next day. Great Job Soccer!

JV and Varsity Boys Soccer

Varsity Boys was extremely close to winning, with a score of 2-1 at Bourgade Catholic High School on Monday. Along with Varsity Girls Soccer, they demolished Chandler Preparatory Academy, defeating them, 9-0. They unfortunately lost to ALA Gilbert North, by only missing a single point, 3-2. Catch soccer next week when they play against Gilbert Classical and at the Boys Soccer State Play-in Game on Friday, February 7th.

JV and Varsity Girls Basketball

On Tuesday, January 28, JV Girls sadly lost their first game of the week by lacking a single point, 25-24. With the hopes of earning a win the next time, their game was unfortunately cancelled on Friday against ALA-Gilbert North. Sadly, Varsity Girls also lost their game against Gilbert Christian (41-57) and ALA-Gilbert North (59-28).  Girls Basketball always work extremely hard and put high amounts of effort into their games. There’s no doubt that they’re going to dominate next week, so be sure to tune into them next time when they play Coronado High School on Tuesday, February 4th.

Freshman, JV, and Varsity Boys Basketball

On Tuesday, Freshman Boys Basketball won their game at Gilbert Christian with a score of 74-63. JV and Varsity Boys lost to the same school with a score of 78-52 and 58-43. On Thursday, January 30, the JV team was extremely close in taking the win by missing only a single point, 46-45, against ALA-Gilbert North. On the bright side, Varsity Boys won against the same school with a score of 52-35. Amazing work Basketball!

Wrestling

On Wednesday, January 29, the wrestling team won Multi-Meet, 4-0. Great Job Wrestling!

The winter sports have been working very hard and doing extremely well these last couple of weeks. Best of luck to all sports, thank you for making ACP proud.
