ACP Volleyball’s Dig Pink Fundraiser
Raising Funds and Awareness for Breast Cancer Research
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, ACP’s volleyball team is partnering with the Side-Out Foundation to raise funds for stage IV breast cancer research. This is the least-funded area of research, despite stage IV breast cancer being the most serious and life-threatening stage.
The fundraiser, referred to as Dig Pink, is an opportunity to educate the public on breast cancer research. It empowers athletes to make a positive impact on the community by supporting an important cause.
Coming up this month, we have several opportunities to make a difference with the Dig Pink campaign. Our volleyball team has a goal to raise $8,000 per class for the Dig Pink Campaign, and every contribution counts! Exactly 100% of the donations will be sent to the Side-Out Foundation, which will provide support for patients diagnosed with breast cancer as well as fund research into breast cancer treatment.
This year, the Dig Pink campaign will be Battle of the Classes style. Here are the links to each class’ donation page.

Additionally, this Thursday, October 17th, ACP’s volleyball team will be having its annual Dig Pink volleyball match, where they will be facing the American Leadership Academy. Stop by ACP-Erie’s gym to attend the game, starting at 4 p.m. The match is dedicated to breast cancer survivors and seeks to recognize all individuals who have confronted cancer. The game times are as follows:
- The junior varsity match will be at 5 p.m.
- The varsity match will be at 6 p.m.
At the game, there will be an area to make donations and purchase pink ACPVB stickers for $2 each. All profits will go toward the Dig Pink fundraiser. Be sure to wear all pink to show your support for breast cancer awareness and our volleyball team!
For more information about the Side-Out Foundation and the Dig Pink campaign, check out the Side-Out Foundation’s website: https://side-out.org/dig-pink/. Significantly, 1 in 8 women who live to the age of 70 will be diagnosed with breast cancer. ACP volleyball’s Dig Pink campaign is a positive effort to raise awareness about the prevalence of breast cancer and fund further research for stage IV breast cancer.
