ACP’s Annual Club Fair!
It’s that time of the year, club time! Every year ACP has hosted a club fair where all clubs are displayed for students to visit and consider joining. Two days are given, during Club Time, where students join their friends in the air-conditioned gym and have the chance to explore and learn more about the clubs at this school. If you think that clubs and extracurricular activities are not important, you should definitely think again. Parents, teachers, and counselors can’t stress enough to get students out of the realm of academics and to branch out and start finding a passion. It is not as beneficial as just being a member of the club but actively pursing it and being involved will be enough to please colleges.
Our school tries the best that they can to provide a club for each and every individual’s interests. There are clubs starting from the math and science clubs to the Super Smash Bros and Video Games Club if you want to get crazy. And if there isn’t a club that interests you, just stop by the office to have a new one approved, and be sure to have a sponsor with you! We have a variety of options this year, some include: Best Buddies, Book Club, Creative Writing, Future Medical Professionals Club, GSA, International Club, Key Club, Literary Magazine, Mock Trial Organization, Model UN, NHS / NJHS, Red Cross Club, She’s the First, StuGo, and many more!
If you have been in a club for more than one year and are very passionate about it, don’t forget to tell your friends. It is one thing to be a part of a club, but watching it grow and having the potential to make it something big makes it so much easier to work with and soon enough it could rise up to the top with your help.
Lastly, don’t be afraid to join! Ask questions if you are curious; every club has such a positive environment that will make you feel more comfortable. It is a great way to interact and meet new people who understand and can express themselves toward you because of the same shared interests. Good Luck and have fun!
