Powder Puff

An inaugural year for a new tradition on campus, the ACP Powder Puff game will be kicking off Friday night on our ACP field. A traditional role reversal, the Powder Puff game gives our athletes a chance to enjoy new sports. From an all female flag-football team, to an all male cheering group, the game will go down as a memorable ACP tradition.

Our ACP athletic boys stepped up to the challenge and, led by the outstanding ACP cheerleading team, worked to create an exciting halftime show for the game. This team, consisting of an interesting culmination of boys from 9th-12th grade, learned a solid halftime routine over six early morning practices.

While the boys continued to hone their skills on the mat, our fantastic female athletes challenged their abilities on the field. From learning intense and fast-paced offensive plays to completing dozens of drills at rapid paces, this team worked quickly to develop a solid and competitive football team representing ACP.

Hosted at the ACP Erie football field, the Powder Puff fundraiser begins at 5 P.M. With a mere $5 entry fee, the celebration contains a multitude of activities for the whole family, including:

  • Silent Auction
  • Raffle
  • Corn Hole contest
  • Music
  • Football Throwing contest
  • And more!

Of course, the main events of the fundraiser are the two exciting games. The Freshmen vs. Sophomore game begins at 5:30 P.M., and the Junior vs. Senior game begins at 7 P.M. Be ready to cheer!

The Powder Puff game is a celebration of ACP athletics and the ability of our individual athletes to compete in various sports. From 6:00 A.M. practices on the mats in the gym, to after-school football practices in the grueling heat, these Knights have worked hard to perfect their skills in an entirely new sport. Our athletes have spent the last two weeks preparing heavily for this night, make sure to show up and cheer on our ACP Knights!
