Mr.+Mays+Thoughts+on+ACP

One of ACP’s new teachers, Mr. Craig May, teaches Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry, and Investigative Science. A graduate of the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, and Grand Canyon University, Mr. May is a well-versed man on multiple sciences. The 2018-2019 school year is his first year teaching at Erie, and this is what he has to say about it:

Q: What made you decide to come to ACP?

A: I came to ACP because I wanted to teach in the Chandler School District. I had heard great things, and I wanted to be a part of it. I actually applied to multiple schools, and ACP was the first to contact me. It worked out well from there.

Q: What do you like the most about ACP?

A: What I like the most about ACP is the students. The students here are the most ambitious, driven, and academically able group of kids I have ever had the pleasure to teach. I love that you all have such a great thirst for knowledge.

Q: What inspired you to teach?

A: I was inspired to teach because of a drive to help others. I wanted to inspire a passion about science in kids.

Q: Why did you choose science?

A: I have always loved science ever since I was in the 4th grade. It has always been a part of my life, and there is always more to learn.

Q: Which science do you prefer to teach? Why?

A: Chemistry is my favorite subject to teach. It is fun, exciting, and logical. Everything in chemistry makes sense and fits together.

Thank you, Mr. May, for such thoughtful and insightful answers. We hope you have an awesome year and stay with us for many more years to come!
