Every year, the Chandler Education Foundation holds their CEF’s Winner’s Choice Car or Cash Raffle, in which Arizonans are able to participate in a raffle that will benefit both the winner and classrooms across the Chandler Unified School District.

For the 2018-2019 year, people can purchase raffle tickets for a chance to be the grand winner of $20,000 in cash or $27,000 toward purchasing a new Toyota. On January 27, 2019, the winning ticket will be drawn at the Chandler Fashion Center, and the lucky individual picked will have the choice to decide between the previously mentioned cash prize or Toyota purchase.

Along with delivering the raffle winner a gift that will truly brighten up his or her Sunday, this annual Car or Cash Raffle will also assist our CUSD classrooms by contributing money to the much-needed funding for the teachers in the district. The proceedings from this raffle will allow higher grant funding and scholarships, as well as benefit the programs being sponsored by the Chandler Education Foundation.

Of course, just like any competition, the Winner’s Choice Car or Cash Raffle comes with a set of guidelines for anyone participating in it. Participants can only list one name on the raffle tickets they purchase. This means an individual cannot place two or more names on a singular ticket. If this is found to be done on the winning ticket, the CEF will physically award the prize to only the first name listed on the entry. For tax purposes, the prize can be split among all prize winners if desired.

In terms of rules for conclusion of the raffle, if the winner chooses to select the prize of a new Toyota, he or she will have to assume responsibility for all federal, state and local taxes, title, registration, and transportation fees before being able to take possession of the vehicle. If the winner decides to opt for the $20,000 cash prize, he or she will have to assume responsibility for all federal, state and local taxes that come with the prize. The winner must make his or her decision on selecting the cash prize or vehicle prize within three months after the final draw date.

Those interested in the Chandler Education Foundation’s Winner Choice Raffle can purchase their tickets by speaking with any ACP faculty or staff member, stopping by the ACP Erie administrative office, or visiting the Chandler Education Foundation website page dedicated to this raffle. One raffle ticket is being sold for $20, and participants can purchase up to 10 tickets at once.
