College Visit: Northern Arizona University
Well Knights, it’s time again. We have another big name university visiting us once more. This week, Northern Arizona University is paying us a visit.
For those of you who don’t know, Northern Arizona University is located in Flagstaff, Arizona: the one place in the entire state that actually gets a winter. With a summer average of 79 degrees and a winter average of 44 degrees, this place truly makes for an amazing home that’s not too far away from home.
During the visit, the NAU rep told us about scholarships, tuition, and the great opportunities an education at NAU gives its students. With an in-state tuition of only $11,000, endless scholarship opportunities, and an acceptance rate of 78%, this university is truly a location worth considering.
Unknown to many, NAU allows the students to take both in-person lectures as well as classes online to ensure that each student gets the perfect academic schedule and with a great balance of social life and school life.
The campus itself features 25 resident halls (13 are for freshmen) as well as 27 restaurants that are all included in the meal card. The main student union, University Union, has multi-purpose rooms, places to grab a meal, and tutoring/study areas to provide the students with anything they may need.
Overall, NAU has a lot to offer to those who attend. So Knights, make sure you apply to this amazing university, and if you have any questions be sure to see Mrs. Dalton in the College and Career center!
