As the school year starts to position into September, news of the eighth grade field trip to Washington, D.C. also announces itself. Available only to the eighth grade, the trip is set for Sunday, June 9th to Friday, June 14th in the first couple of weeks in the summer of 2019. ACP’s youngest students are advised by many of their older classmates that the trip is simply a must. Not only is it a vacation with your school friends, but it’s a trip to America’s most famous city: the capital.

When I asked some eighth graders on their thoughts about the upcoming excursion, they reacted with huge smiles and seemed ready to burst at the seams with excitement. This is what Amanda Ah Yat had to say;

Q: Are you excited for the trip?

A: I’m very excited for the trip. From the pictures it looks like a really fun trip.

Q: What are you most looking forward to on the trip?

A: I’m looking forward mostly to spending time with friends and sight seeing because I haven’t been there, and I would like to see all of the land marks and such. Mrs. Wright went last year, and she keeps telling us about how fun it is, so I’m very excited.

Another eighth grader, Anoushka Sethi, said she was very enthusiastic about the trip and that she’s looking forward to having fun and spending time with her friends.  Svar Ajwani added that it’s a perfect chance to go somewhere with your friends.

With only about ten months until their D.C. trip, ACP’s eighth graders have a lot of time to make decisions concerning the school outing. But as the high school students have all simultaneously agreed: eighth graders, you simply must go on this trip of a lifetime.
