Across Arizona, many families struggle to find the home necessities, such as clothing. Various places, such as Goodwill, the Salvation Army, and food shelters, are currently helping anyone who needs help, but those organizations are always in need of assistance. With this information in mind, ACP decided to take a stand against and help these organizations through a school wide clothing drive, sponsored by DECA.

With posters plastered around school, DECA announced their clothing drive. Starting Monday, August 20, and ending Thursday, August 23, DECA announced their school- wide Clothing Drive. They explained how this would be in a competition format. The class who donated the most amount of clothing would win a stripe on Sir Thunder’s spirit sword! The class with the most stripes on the spirit sword wins a week of free dress at the end of the quarter. Despite this reward, DECA encourages all students, parents, and families to donate what they can for those who need it most.

Joining clubs, such as NHS, Key Club, and DECA offers students a way to stay involved with their community. These clubs, and many more, volunteer with different organizations like Feed My Starving Children, The Salvation Army, and food shelters. Key Club also partners with Kiwanis International, which is an international service club.

Knights, make sure to get involved with this school-wide clothing drive to both help your community and have the chance to win a week of free dress!
