Varsity Football Looks to Score Big

It’s that time of the year again, and ACP is already packing the stands. The Knights are bouncing back from a season of promising improvement. The Knights’ very own Eric Decoster (pictured left) – star runningback and linebacker – already sees improvement with the team. Here’s what Eric had to say:

Q: What are you most excited for this season?

A: I’m really looking forward to seeing the growth of the team, and our own skills individually. Last year was full of speed bumps, but I’m excited to see what we’ve gotten better at.

Q: What can you improve on from this season’s first game?

A: The first game is always hardest on teams, and we’re no exception. We also need a lot of our team to stay healthy and free of injury because that’s always going to hurt our chances on the field.

Q: Any guesses on the team’s record this season?

A: It’s always hard to tell, but there’s a good chance that we’ll win more than half. We play game-by-game, so we don’t know until that 4th quarter ends, but we’re definitely working toward a stronger record than last season.

It seems that our Knights are more than ready for the road ahead of them – and definitely can’t do it alone. This season is promising from not only the growth of each player, but from the entire team! The only thing this group needs is our amazing ACP Knights to come support them. For more information on game schedules, talk to any one of our talented players, talk to Coach Myron Blueford, or visit our ACP Sports Website at https://acpathletics.com/. The Knights’ rocky start, in game one, is definitely not a defining factor of the team – considering the New York Giants took the 2012 Superbowl with a meager 9-7 record.
