Education can be very expensive, and many people are unable or struggle to reach higher education because of a lack of equity. One way to lessen the financial burden on students is by offering scholarships. Academic scholarships are extremely useful for supplying students with the financial support necessary to further their education after high school. They are a way for organizations to reward individuals for their dedication and service to their community. Not only do they help students with economic aid, but open endless opportunities for students to attend prestigious colleges.
One such scholarship is the Coca-Cola scholarship. Known as CCSF, it is a non-profit organization that has been providing annual scholarships to over 1,000 high school seniors since 1986. The scholarship is based on merit, so students are awarded in accordance to their academics, leadership, and service. The scholarship is one of the most prestigious programs in the country with thousands of graduating seniors applying. With such a fierce competition, only 150 receive the full $20,000. Aside from the thousands of dollars to help fund students, the CCSF also tries to maintain contact with alumni.
Last year the foundation provided the graduating class of 2023 with more than 6,750 Coca-Cola Scholars. Applications are now open this year for the 2023-2024 school year, from August 1 to October 2. To apply, you need to submit your application to the Coca-Cola login page. There is a set of criteria applicants must meet if they wish to take part in the program. Mr. Ator will be available in the College and Career Center in case you have any questions. Hopefully our seniors will apply for this scholarship soon. Remember to strive for the impossible and be extraordinary!
