The Girl Up Donation Drive
As many of you know, March 1st is the beginning of an entire month dedicated to women’s history and appreciation, but did you know that ACP’s Girl Up chapter-an international organization dedicated to expanding girls’ skills, rights, and opportunities to lead-is leading and sponsoring ACP’s Women’s Week from February 27 to March 3rd? Kicking off this month, the club is hosting fun activities this week such as lunchtime activities in the cafeteria, rubber duck scavenger hunts around campus, and the skirt-out spirit day on Friday.
In addition, there will also be a donation drive this week which can be found outside the library. Donatable items include non-perishable food items not contained within a glass container (canned soups, peanut butter, honey, etc.), laundry supplies, full size toiletries, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, lotion, soap, and feminine hygiene products; all of which are going to girls in need of them!
Be sure to check out and participate in these activities and do what you can to help women in need, and as always, Knights, remember to strive for the impossible, be extraordinary, and have a great Women’s History Month!
