New Teacher Interview: Mrs. Schildgen
Since our school has expanded, we have not only added a large number of kids, but also a large number of teachers. From the scientific department to the language department, these new teachers and staff deserve a warm welcome into the Knight Family. Mrs. Schildgen, one of our school’s newer hires for the ACP High School English department, is who I’ll be talking to today about her experience in her ACP classroom.
Mrs. Schildgen is one of the ninth grade English teachers here at ACP, and she teaches both On-level and Honors English. When she’s not teaching, she enjoys hiking, biking, yoga, camping, and hanging out with family and friends. When asked about her experience here at ACP, she said, “I love ACP High School! I love the diversity of the students, and I’ve learned so much about a variety of traditions and cultures. I’ve also learned about all kinds of You Tubers!” She has always wanted to be a teacher due to her love for learning and working with young people. The students who she has worked with have taught her so much. During her time teaching she has learned that “EVERY student has something great to offer the world, and I just try to help them find those strengths and develop them.” Since Mrs. Schildgen is fascinated by ancient cultures, she would love to travel to Egypt to, “experience the wonder of the pyramids.”
A big thank you to Mrs. Schildgen for all of the amazing things she does for her students, and don’t forget to strive for the impossible and be extraordinary! Go Knights!!
