TRI-UNIVERSITY EVENTS: The One-Stop Shop for College Info
Once students step into their high school years, time paces fast and the next big stop is college. It is expected that they will struggle with figuring out details of the roadmap to university life.
Arizona State University, Northern Arizona University, and the University of Arizona work with ACP High School to educate high school students and their families about public universities in Arizona and college preparation. These three universities all collaborate to hold combined online information sessions all year round for students and parents interested in learning more about college life: the Tri-University Event.
The workshops available for students and parents include an “Admissions 101” session which is, “about the admission requirements for the three in-state universities, what is needed to complete an application, and insights about SAT and ACT scores”. The other available options are application workshops (which are led by admission representatives) for each of the three in-state colleges. These workshops provide students with assistance and tips on their applications.
The ASU website, https://visit.asu.edu/tri-university, is where the sign-up information can be accessed. The website includes details like the schedules of the sessions and a “pre-application workshop checklist”.
While college may seem like a stressful subject for students and their families, opportunities like the Tri-University Events make the process much easier by providing all the resources one might need, in one place. College are some of the best years of your life, so be sure you are well prepared before the next journey in your life begins. Go Knights!
