ACP Golf Tournament

ACP+Golf+Tournament

On Saturday, May 14, 2022, there will be an ACP Golf Tournament at Oakwood at Sun Lakes. This tournament is held as a fundraiser for the ACP High School football team: Freshman, Sophomore, Junior Varsity, and Varsity. Because the football program grows very big, the funds earned here pay for seven-on-seven tournaments, summer camp, gear, travel opportunities, and any other football expenses. This tournament is going to be so much fun to participate in and even to watch, so please come.

The early bird sign-up deadline for this tournament was April 1; it is 150 dollars per person or 550 dollars per four people. There can be 36 foursomes which will be 144 players. This tournament will be a standard four-player scramble and it includes green fees, a shared rental car, range balls, and lunch. The standard golf attire should be worn. ACP Knights’ colors and clothing are very encouraged as well. The colors are purple, grey, black, and white.

This tournament gives everyone the opportunity to purchase mulligans and raffle tickets, and you can enter into additional course games. There will be many awards and prizes that will be given at the tournament like the “longest drive for women and men,” “closest to the pin,” “putting contest,” and par 3 events with a 50/50 raffle. The schedule for the tournament is as follows: 7:00 A.M. is welcome and check-in, 8:00 A.M. is the shotgun start, 12:30 P.M. is lunch, and 1:00 P.M. is when the awards will be given out. Additional items will include an auction, raffles, and prizes.

The final deadline to sign up for this tournament is May 14, so please make your checks out to the ACP Football Booster Club, and please mail them as well. This tournament gives kids the opportunity to interact with other football players, coaches, and administration. If you win something by getting a raffle ticket, there is a chance to win great prizes from local businesses, along with the chance to win Knights Gear. There will also be a silent auction that everyone can participate in. To learn more about the tournament, go to the Knightly Update or visit the ACP website. I strongly encourage you to come to this tournament and have a blast!
