Yearbook Staff: A Fun Class to learn Photography!

Yearbook Staff: A Fun Class to learn Photography!

Every school needs a yearbook; it’s one of the few things graduates keep of their high school careers. ACP offers an elective class that focuses on designing and printing the yearbook each year. Not only does it let you learn about taking photos and design, but it also gives you a chance to meet lots of new people!

The first half of the year has a big focus on taking photos of the events and people at the school, and organizing and designing the yearbook. The second half after the yearbook is sent in for printing, as the class focuses on preparing things for next year. The students in the class all seem to have lots of fun working in the class. They usually play music and sing along to it, just enjoying their high school days. The class is pretty small, only having around 9-10 people. Yearbook also shares a class period with the newspaper staff, so while there is no bias towards my thoughts on the class, I am partial to the class as a whole for how fun and lively it is every day in this class.

Yearbook also is a full elective, so it does give you an elective credit to graduate, on top of the opportunities given to you with being a member of yearbook for college applications. If you like design, photography, or just working with others and having fun, then yearbook might be a class you might be interested in. You can apply for it when choosing your electives for next year. Go Knights!
