Superheros and How They Affect People Today
Most people in today’s time have a favorite superhero. Over the years as Marvel, DC, Sony, etc. have grown bigger and bigger as more and more people have been exposed to the wonders of superheroes and started to identify with them. Superheroes have no age limit; they are widely discovered and liked by people age six all the way to people in their twenties and beyond. Many people are unaware of the way that superheroes impact society and the role they play in people’s lives.
Superheroes have a very positive effect on children. Many kids at young ages start to idolize their favorite superheroes and want to become like them. Superheroes often have great qualities like trustworthiness, honesty, bravery, kindness, and more. When children see their favorite characters acting like they often emulate these same qualities. Also, superheroes can give kids a sense of hope and steadiness making them have something to believe in. Many young kids go through challenging situations, and superheroes can help them see the world in a positive way.
Next, there are probably dozens of students at our school who love everything Marvel, DC, and others including myself. I am a die-hard Marvel fan and love anything to do with superheroes and even supervillains. Superheroes give teens an escape to another world and make them forget about their problems even if it’s just for 30 minutes while watching a superhero show. Also, liking superheroes even just a bit will promote good behavior in teens because they usually follow by example and will make them want to be better.
Sitting on the couch at home or in the theaters watching marvel movies with my family has brought me so much joy over the years. Liking superheroes is a great way to start a new hobby or even just make it easier to make new friends with the same interests as you. Something I thought would be fun is asking some people at school who their favorite superhero is and why. My newspaper teacher, Mrs. Patterson says that her favorite superhero is Wonder Woman because she is humble, sincere, and strong. My friend Cayley says Supergirl because she is brave and takes risks. Lastly, my newspaper peers Nina, and Owen say their favorite superheroes are Zatanna who can do magic and is underrated and spiderman due to his story and how he adjusts to normal life.
