Love is the Air, and So Is Candy!
Valentine’s Day: A day that is supposed to represent feelings of love, in all forms. Whether it be familial, platonic, or romantic, there’s always a show you to show you’re appreciation for someone. That’s why StuGo has decided to sell Valentine Grams! Two dollars for a rose(they’re sold out), three dollars for a bag of candy, and six dollars for candies, goodies, and a cute sloth plushie! February 11 is the last day to buy your grams for that special someone or to buy for a friend. Maybe you can even give it to someone you admire as a confession? Only time will tell! Here are some opinions from a few of ACP’s students on their opinion of the event.
Hannah Byun: To many others, it’s a day to spend time with their significant other or the people they care about, and while that’s cool and all, to me, it’s just another day but there’s more candy everywhere and bright colors for 24 hours.
Amanda Lee-Cruz: It’s a fun day to hang out with loved ones and an excuse to eat candy. I like the color scheme that’s associated with Valentine’s Day.
ZiQing Kuang: It’s an event where people can spend time with the people they love and show their affection for them in an open manner.
Judy Kernen: Valentine’s day is a day where you get to not only spend time with your significant other, but also your friends and family and hold them close to you, especially during difficult times like these.
Alex Lee: It’s a day where you can show your love for people but you should love others everyday and not just one day.
Happy Valentine’s Day and try not to eat too much chocolate!
